Transforming Mental Well-being: AB.Money’s Success with FlutterFlow

Healthcare

Getting Started

When the team at AppFyl, a Czech Republic-based app development agency, decided to switch to FlutterFlow, the result was a groundbreaking lifestyle meditation app, AB.Money. Built in under two months, AB.Money quickly soared to the top of the education category on the App Store in Eastern Europe, earning a 4.8 rating on the App Store and a perfect 5.0 on Google Play. With over 250,000 users and more than $100,000 in client-reported revenue, AB.Money has become a leading app for mental well-being and stress management.

Choosing FlutterFlow

AB.Money, a meditation and mindset app created by Alexandra Belliakova (Sasha Belaire), initially faced significant challenges with scalability. After building multiple versions using a different no-code platform, the app started to struggle as it grew to around 4,000 users. This limitation led the AppFyl team to explore other options.

"We realized that we can't scale quickly due to limitations of Adalo at around 4000 users and our client wanted features that could not be done with this tool, so I switched to FlutterFlow," shared Ilya, Co-Founder of AppFyl.

The decision to move to FlutterFlow was driven by our custom function capabilities, seamless integration with third-party software, and the ability to efficiently collaborate across the development team. This switch enabled AppFyl to create a more robust, scalable, and feature-rich application.

Building With FlutterFlow

AB.Money is a feature-packed app that provides users with a comprehensive meditation and mindset experience:

  1. Original Meditations: Available in both Russian and English, the app offers a variety of original meditations by Sasha Belaire, which users can access through a custom audio player built within FlutterFlow.
  2. Embedded Video Courses: The app includes video courses specifically for Russian-language users, implemented using FlutterFlow’s conditional visibility feature.
  3. Daily Tarot Card: Users can receive a personalized daily tarot card, generated using custom code based on their birthday and the current date.
  4. Affirmations Generator: This feature delivers daily motivational affirmations, leveraging FlutterFlow’s random data generator and the client’s preloaded content.
  5. Workflow Automation: The app integrates seamlessly with Firebase for backend support and RevenueCat for payments, utilizing FlutterFlow’s built-in tools, along with Make for no-code workflow automation.
  6. Personal Diaries: Russian-language users can track their emotions, progress, and goals through four different diaries, with data managed via FlutterFlow’s Content Manager.

FlutterFlow proved to be a game changer for the AppFyl team, allowing them to build and deploy AB.Money quickly while maintaining high-quality standards.

"I would say 80-90% of the app we built using FlutterFlow's native features," said Ilya, highlighting how the platform's native tools facilitated rapid development. Additionally, the ability to implement custom functionality was crucial in creating a unique user experience, such as limiting account access to prevent misuse.

Value Realized

AB.Money’s development involved a dedicated team of six, including a designer, two FlutterFlow developers, a Flutter developer for custom code, a QA tester, and a project manager. The app's success is reflected in its high ratings, widespread user engagement, and significant financial returns.

With over 115,000 active users, 250,000 downloads, and a top ranking in the education category in Eastern Europe, AB.Money is a powerful example of what can be achieved with FlutterFlow. The app has generated over $100,000 in client-reported revenue, and as AppFyl continues to grow, they remain committed to building more innovative apps using FlutterFlow.

By providing the speed, scalability, and flexibility necessary for modern app development, FlutterFlow enabled AB.Money to become a trusted resource for mental well-being, helping users around the world manage stress and improve their mental health.
